π Who's Behind It
Sloomoo started in New York City in 2019 and has grown into a national chain of slime experiences. Boston already knows the brand from its small MiniMoo shop at Faneuil Hall, which Hoodline reports will stay open as a retail-only store once the full institute opens around the corner.
An operator with several locations running already has its training and scheduling worked out. Hoodline also reports that the company makes a point of hiring differently abled staff and runs sensory-friendly hours, which tells you something about the kind of workplace it is trying to build.
πΌ The Jobs Sloomoo Is Filling
The company's own careers page currently lists three Boston openings: Porter, Maintenance Technician and Production Associate. Porters keep a busy, messy attraction guest-ready, maintenance techs keep the rooms and games running, and production associates make the slime itself.
Those three postings are a start, not the whole 100. At its other institutes, Sloomoo staffs the floor with guest-facing roles such as Slimetenders, who run the slime bar, and Experience Leads, who supervise shifts. None of those are listed for Boston on the careers page today, so we are not promising them. Watch the page over the next two weeks.
Pay is not shown on the careers page. Massachusetts law gives you a lever here: under the state's pay transparency law, covered employers (25 or more employees, counted under the Attorney General's rules) must put a pay range in job postings, and applicants have a right to ask for the range when they apply. Ask before you interview.
πΊοΈ Why This Block Is Worth the Commute
Clinton Street sits in one of the busiest pedestrian pockets in the city, between Quincy Market and the North End, with Haymarket and Government Center stations a short walk away on the Orange and Green Lines. That makes early, late and weekend shifts realistic without a car.
Timing helps too. A mid-November opening lands just ahead of the holiday crowds, when downtown family attractions are at their busiest.

π How to Stand Out at a New Attraction
- Lead with availability. Weekends, school vacations and holiday weeks are when a family attraction needs the most people.
- Show you like kids and crowds. Camp, babysitting, retail and restaurant work all count.
- Apply early, then follow up. Pre-opening hires get trained first and often get first pick of shifts.
