🔥 Who's Recruiting at the Roxbury Career Fair

MassHire's event listing names 11 employers so far, and the list leans hard toward health and public service. Boston Children's Hospital, Boston Medical Center and Tufts Medicine bring three of the city's big hospital systems to one room. CVS Health is listed too, along with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services, the Executive Office of Veterans Services and the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center.

Rounding it out are Swissport, the airport ground-services company, plus Bay State Community Services, Work Opportunities Unlimited and Mass PCA Directory, the state's listing for personal care attendant work.

MassHire says openings run from first jobs to roles that need a license or years of experience. It hasn't published a headcount or specific positions, and employer lists can change before the day, so treat the roster as a guide rather than a promise.

⚠️ Read This Before You Go: Registration Is Required

This is not a walk-up fair. MassHire says all attendees must be registered MassHire members, and the registration form asks for your Job Seeker ID. No ID yet? You'll need to create a MassHire membership first, which runs through a MyMassGov profile, then come back and register for the fair.

Give yourself a few days for that, not a few minutes on the morning of the 17th. Questions go to MassHire Downtown Boston at (617) 399-3100. Veterans and eligible spouses get priority of service at MassHire.

📋 How to Show Up Ready

  • Several copies of your resume. Eleven employers means eleven chances to hand one over.
  • Interview clothes. MassHire asks attendees to dress professionally.
  • A 30-second pitch. Who you are, what you do, what you want next.
  • A few questions per table. Ask about shifts, training and how soon they're hiring.
  • A plan for getting there. RCC sits a short walk from the Roxbury Crossing stop on the Orange Line. Drivers get free parking in Lot 1, about five minutes on foot from Building 3. Skip the employee-only spots.

MassHire also scheduled a virtual prep session for Thursday, November 12, from 1:00 – 2:30 PM, with a recording posted on the event page.
